GS Loek Hopstaken đã giảng dạy các môn học về Quản trị kinh doanh quốc tế cho bậc đại học và thạc sỹ từ năm 2003. Chuyên môn của ông là các lĩnh vực Truyền thông, Phương cách tổ chức và Quan hệ công chúng. Kể từ tháng 11 – 2008, ông đến sống và làm việc tại thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, nhưng cũng thường xuyên trở về Hà Lan để cung cấp dịch vụ cho các khách hàng ở đây và giảng dạy chương trình Thạc sỹ tại đại học Wittenborg. Tại Hà Lan, ông đã thực hiện các chương trình đào tạo và hội thảo cho Philips, Heineken, Royal Van Zanten, Damen Shipyards và nhiều công ty vừa và nhỏ khác.

Tại Việt Nam, ông là Giám đốc đào tạo cho Alliance International Training Corporation, là giảng viên của RMIT, Đại học Công nghệ và Đại học Công nghiệp TPHCM và cộng tác với nhiều công ty đào tạo và tư vấn quản trị của Việt Nam.

Achievements

As a result of effective lobbying, two law proposals accepted by the Dutch parliament (1980-1982): both concern humane treatment of patients in mental hospitals for Postbank (1986): successful change of the salary system from a governmental setup to a privatized one (design; presentations to Board of Directors, trade unions, and 10,500 personnel) for Postbank (1988): completion of a tailor made job evaluation system conforming with the norms of the Dutch banking world, presented to and accepted by all parties concerned (Board; Unions; Council of Personnel) for NMB Postbank Group (1989): completion of a research into the salary consequences of the merger
